Minimal South

The Antipodes and minimalist branding - 2 things I have a particular affection for. So when I stumbled across a combination of these in this beautiful branding work by Studio South in Auckland it struck an immediate chord.

The studio was 'approached by architect Borijan Milic to create an identity that gave life to the name Verso' and their response is this beautiful and considered execution across various mediums. The success of minimalist design is often closely coupled with its downfall - the fine line between 'less' and 'not enough' is a difficult one to tread, but Studio South treads it well here. The bold, contrasting palette and complimentary typography play perfectly into the architectural theme, and this translates beautifully throughout the branded collateral.

Excellent work.
